Valentines Photo Shoot on Rock n Roll Bride

Cant hide my excitement that the one and only Kat from Rock n Roll Bride has shared mine and lovely photographer Sarah London’s Valentines Wedding shoot today.

We both knew that we wanted to collaborate on a Valentines inspired Wedding shoot, but with a less traditional feel and some quirky touches. Several brain-racking evenings later, I let my creative mind and hands loose on preparing hand made decor and sourcing wonderful props. After coming up with a ‘theme’ of Love Rocks, everything else grew from there… from a retro sweet trolley filled with Brighton Rocks and rock sweets, to massive carnival style Love letters, coloured paper heart streamers to hang over doors, gold geo bunting, oversized hearts to pin into hay bales and even a yellow, gold styled table setting. All set in a perfect Sussex working farm barn!

Most of the images are shown on Rock n Roll Bride here, and a fuller set will soon be added to my portfolio section of the website, but in the mean time, here’s a little selection to keep you going!

Work Experience Intern

I am looking for a part time assistant to preliminary work with me on a few jobs and at a prestigious wedding fair in London, with the opportunity to gain work experience on future weddings and styling jobs.

This position will start unpaid with potential to getting paid work and assisting full time on styling jobs. Currently, this is not regular work, which may suit somebody who just wants to help out on the odd job to gain extra experience and references.

The key dates that you will need to be available to help out on (so far) are for A Most Curious Wedding Fair @ Hackney Down Studios on April 4th and 5th, and for a wedding in East Grinstead August 22nd. Other dates and jobs to be negotiated, there may be some prop making that ideally you could contribute to making also.

The ideal person would have some interior design/ props/ styling experience or qualifications; be creative; social media savvy; live locally to Brighton; be flexible; have a driving licence and be willing to occasionally drive props and furnishings to venues (either in a hire car or van that I would pay for or you would get reimbursed if using your own vehicle). Currently, I do not need a regular assistant, though if things get really busy, then the role may involve more regular work, and possibly lead to a paid position.

Please contact me if interested and tell me specifically if you are able to fulfil the requirements listed- ie dates mentioned, experience, driving and live locally.

It would be great to meet anyone that meets these requirements and discuss with you in more detail some of the work and roles to get involved with.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Jasmine x
